We’ll be focusing on one such resemblance in this article. This is because we’re gonna give you a list with the top snake-like Pokemon in the franchise.

We have decided to include snake- and serpent-like Pokemon in the list. This means we will have other Dragon-type Pokemon as well as other Pokemon that could be mistaken for snakes. They will be ranked based on how amazing they are, not their abilities. As we introduce each one, we’ll tell you more about them.

There will be 15 Pokemon on the list. Based on how relevant and awesome they are to the franchise, they will be ranked 15th through 1st.

15)  Snivy

Generation: Fifth

Types: Grass

Snivy, a bipedal reptilian Pokémon that is slim and slender, is called “Snivy”. It has a primarily green body with a creamy-coloured belly. It has a yellow stripe running down its back and a full-length tail. This is reminiscent of the yellow marks around its large brown eyes and the two identical sheets that extend from its shoulders and curve backwards.

He has three fingers on each side, but no toes. The tail has a large, three-pointed leaf. The tail can photosynthesise which gives Snivy more speed. It collapses when Snivy is low on energy. This Pokemon is calm and collected.

14)  Giratina (Origin Forme)

Generation: Forth

Types: Ghost / Dragon

The Origin form that he keeps in the Distortion Universe, moves in the air using a serpentine body. His cervical adornment is angled backwards and bars his face like mandibles. It has three pairs of tendrils that end in a red stinger.

The legs of the animal are reduced to five pairs of symmetrical golden spines, each one starting from the red rings on its body. These rings are bordered with black rings. The base of the neck has two points, while the chest has four and the tail has four.

13) Eternatus

Generation: Eighth

Types: Poison / Dragon

Eternatus is a huge purple skeletal dragon with red-tinged eyes. Its main body is long and slender, and its four legs are rickety. The claws on the end of each leg are made up of filiform attachments.

His chest shows his rib cage which contains a glowing pink core that absorbs energy to feed Eternatus. It can also release the energy it has accumulated in the form of beams, particularly when it launches its Canon Dynamax attack.

12) Steelix

Generation: Second

Types: Steel / Ground

Steelix is a large iron snake, with a huge head relative to the body. There are two canines on each side that go up to the top. There are two bumps on either side of the head. Steelix has a flat chin and space between two small bumps. Steelix’s eyes are surrounded by black and have a wicked-looking white sclera.

The body is made up of eight metal pieces. The first, fourth, and sixth have small growths along their sides. These growths are very long at the top but smaller as they go down. The row ends with a point of the metal. His body is greyed and limbless.

11) Huntail

Generation: Third

Types: Water

Huntail’s habitat is found in the bottom of warm, southern seas. It can live at great depths where no sunlight can penetrate. Although it moves in a serpentine fashion, it is not an expert swimmer. It hunts by using its fish-shaped tail that emits light through the eyes-like spots.

Huntail, a deep-sea Pokemon, simply swallows it whole once it is within its range. Huntail was a secretive creature that remained hidden from humans for many years. Huntail’s appearance near beaches is considered a bad sign according to tradition.

10) Dratini

Generation: First

Types: Dragon

Dratini is an enigmatic serpentine Pokemon that has a blue body with a white belly. His forehead has a white bead and his trifold fin is white. He has large, round eyes and a purple nose. Dratini continue to grow for a long period of time. Some reach almost two meters in height. Their skin begins to shed as they age. If the Dratini is grieved, they will hide behind waterfalls. They live in colonies underwater. People believed for a long time that Dratini existed only in myth.

9) Dragonair

Generation: First

Types: Dragon

Dragonair is a long, limbless dragon that resembles a sea serpent. His belly and head are white, while his stomach is blue. We find two small blue spheres near the tail and a third near the throat. It also has a small, white horn on the forehead and two wings that can be used as ears. Dragonair can spread his wings to fly in the air, although this ability is not shown in video games.

8) Milotic

Generation: Third

Types: Water

Milotic is an aquatic, snake-like Pokemon that is mostly cream in colour. His eyes are large and have a long, pinkish antenna that extends from each one. The fins that extend above the eyes look almost like hair and grow larger and larger each day. They can cover half its body and are larger in females than they are in males. A straight spine is found at the top of the relatively small head.

His gills are probably visible through the three slits he has on his back. The lower half of her body is covered in a hexagonal pattern made of blue and pink. It’s surrounded by black. It has four pink and blue fins on its tail. Its tail fins overlap slightly, a characteristic that is reminiscent of a fan. According to Milotic Scales, the colour of the scales can change depending on where you look.

7) Gyarados

Generation: First

Types: Water / Flying

Gyarados was inspired by the sea serpents and oriental dragons. A Chinese legend says that a carp can ascend a waterfall called the Dragon Gate and transform into a dragon. This legend teaches us that despite obstacles like Magikarp’s mediocre abilities, it is important to keep working hard to reach your goals.

Perhaps the Gyarados Flight type refers to koi nobori (carp-shaped windsocks) that were raised during Kodomo no hi in Japan. Inkanyamba is a giant winged eel, which creates storms when it gets angry, much like Gyarados.

6) Sandaconda

Generation: Eighth

Types: Ground

Sandaconda is a Pokemon with the appearance of a long, cream-coloured snake. His body is spiralled in a spiral with browns and black patterns that remind one of cracked earth. A large, dark brown pocket is wrapped around his neck. It has the same patterns as his body. He has green eyes, with red circles and brown lids.

Sandaconda was inspired by the anaconda but also has a lot in common with other snakes such as the horned rattlesnake. The double-barreled shotgun is what also inspired it. As it evolved to protect its head against attack, Sandaconda’s neck pouch grew larger and can hold up to 100kg of sand.

The pocket is so thick and elastic that Durant’s mandibles cannot penetrate it. His body, which he strategically coils in order to give strength to his throws, can help him expel the sand from this pocket with amazing power.

Sometimes, the sand that he excretes is filled with fine gravel which can cause lacerations to his opponents. He can be confident and strong, but his cowardice comes back when he runs out of sand. Durant’s natural predator.

5) Ekans

Generation: First

Types: Poison

Ekans is a predator of all domestic-type Pokemon. It silently wanders through the grass, looking for eggs to eat. It can be found in Kanto and Johto, as well as in Kalos or Alola. It hangs its jaws to eat eggs and larger prey.

If an egg gets stuck in the throat of an Ekan, for example, it may temporarily lose consciousness. Ekans detect prey by their tongue. After a long foray, it is too heavy to crawl. It then rolls up and stops. When resting, Ekans coil in a spiral. It can respond instantly to threats in all directions by raising its head.

When it’s sleeping, it likes to wrap branches around itself. It is harmless because it does not have poison when it is born. The Ekans get longer as they age.

4) Onix

Generation: First

Types: Rock / Ground

Onix are very common and are, except for Alola, native to all regions. This Pokemon is rare and only occasionally found in the wild. It can be found in large cave systems.

It is less common in open areas like the Sevault Canyon. This is due to the fact that Onix lives underground and its natural habitat is underground. These tunnels often end in caves, or merge into cave systems.

3) Seviper

Generation: Third

Types: Poison

He strongly resembles an animal snake. It has two large, red fangs protruding from its mouth. It also has a variety of yellow-gold “plates”, which are attached to its dark blue body. One side of its sharp tail is reddened. It is used when he uses the Poison Tail Attack. Under his head is a purple “S”, which is slightly wedge-shaped.

The real world is where Zangoose and Seviper are rivals. A mongoose can fight snakes and is immune from their venom making Zangoose Seviper the natural enemy. A tourist attraction is also found on Okinawa’s islands. It involves a fight between a mongoose, a poisonous snake from the local area, and the habu.

In double battles, or when the player is fighting hordes Pokemon, one or more Sevipers and a Wild Zangoose are the opponents. The two rivals will attack each other rather than attacking the opponent’s Pokemon.

2) Arbok

Generation: First

Types: Poison

Arbok is a Pokemon that looks like a snake and has purple scales all around its body. A large hood covers his head and features a pattern that looks like an angry face.

The pattern is usually made up of red and yellow spots, which form the eyes. It’s surrounded by black and a stripe that looks like the mouth. There’s also a V-shaped black stripe above the head. Arbok can crush his opponents by wrapping around their bodies and pressing down hard. It can flatten oil barrels.

It raises its head when it comes across an enemy and scares them with the pattern of its hair. Arbok is capable of growing back any part of its body, except the head. As shown in the cartoon, he can also feel vibrations. Arbok can survive underwater for long periods of time and is capable of swimming in water.

Arbok is territorial. With its poisonous hooks, Arbok attacks enemies. He is vengeful by nature and will not abandon his prey or enemy until he wins. He can be found in both the plains and the savannas. It hunts smaller Pokemon in the wild before immobilizing them with its body and then finishing off their lives with its venom.

1) Rayquaza

Generation: Third

Types: Dragon / Flying

Rayquaza is a long, green snake-shaped animal. It has tiny, red-edged wings that run along the body and end of its tail. Each hand has three claws. Two large horns are located on its top and two smaller ones at the bottom.

Rayquaza’s mouth is very large, with two visible fangs on the outside and a few sharp teeth in the middle. His body is decorated with a yellow pattern of yellow rings, similar to the ones of Kyogre or Groudon. He also has a yellow iris in his eye, which is very similar to one of the other legendary cities.
